Silver Law Group is investigating former New York-based Joseph Stone Capital L.L.C. (CRD# 159744) broker David G. Menashe (CRD# 5727269) after the State of Montana sanctioned him for excessive and unauthorized trading.

Menashe’s CRD Report and the Montana Regulatory Decision

According to Menashe’s FINRA BrokerCheck report, the Office of the Commissioner of Securities and Insurance for Montana sanctioned both Joseph Stone and Menashe. According to the Montana Order, Montana required Joseph Stone to pay $30,000 in restitution with Menashe contributing half of that amount.

Broker Ricardo Broome Permanently Barred From FINRA on silverlaw.comSilver Law Group is investigating New York-based Beech Hill Securities (CRD# 24771) broker Frank Hamrak (CRD# 1385077) after a customer complaint filed against him alleging unsuitable recommendations settled.

According to Hamrak’s FINRA BrokerCheck report, a customer complaint filed in November 2016 against Hamrak settled.  The complaint alleged unsuitability and settled for $127,000.

In addition to the settled complaint, Hamrak has six other disclosures on his BrokerCheck report.

South Florida Broker Giovanni Acevedo Accused of Converting Funds and Providing False Information to FINRA on silverlaw.comSilver Law Group is investigating former New York, New York-based broker William V. Siegel (CRD# 4407213) after FINRA permanently barred Siegel from selling securities to the public.

According to Siegel’s FINRA BrokerCheck report, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) suspended Siegel in April 2016 after he failed to comply with an arbitration award or settlement or to satisfactorily respond to a FINRA request to provide information concerning the status of compliance with either.

FINRA suspended Siegel despite permanently barring him in October 2015 for failing to respond to a FINRA request for information.

Silver Law Group is investigating New Woodstock, New York-based National Securities Corporation (CRD# 7569) Leigh M. Garber (CRD# 2768572) after FINRA fined the broker $10,000 and suspended her for three months.

According to Garber’s FINRA BrokerCheck report, in October 2016, FINRA and Garber entered into an Acceptance, Waiver & Consent (“AWC”) concerning the allegations.

Without admitting or denying the findings, Garber consented to the sanctions and certain findings.  According to the AWC, Garber, as president and CEO of a Ridgeway & Conger, allowed her member firm to conduct a securities business while not maintaining sufficient net capital.  According to the AWC, Garber was responsible for the firm’s net capital compliance.
