Palmer has been the subject of multiple customer disputes dating back to 1988. Damages in these cases totaled $552,652, and were settled for a total of $282,500. Five customer disputes are currently pending.

On 5/24/2017, Palmer’s employment with Janney Montgomery Scott ended due to “loss of confidence related to complaint disclosure history.” He was permitted to resign from the company.
