Tie And Shiloh Lasater, Lasater Capital, And Keycity Capital

Texas-based “financial influencers” Tie Glenn and Shiloh Boone Lasater raised hundreds of millions of dollars from investors through KeyCity Capital and Lasater Capital for various real estate ventures. The brothers and their companies subsequently defaulted on millions in loans that were not adequately disclosed to investors, resulting in multiple foreclosures.

On June 9, 2026, the Texas State Securities Board issued an Emergency Cease and Desist Order against the Lasaters and Lasater Capital, alleging materially misleading statements and omissions in the offer and sale of these securities, and in August 2026 the Lasaters settled with the TSSB and agreed to refund investors who had filed lawsuits and complaints.
