According to FINRA’s findings, Spinner engaged with potential investors by discussing opportunities to invest in the fund, responding to their inquiries, and furnishing them with a private placement memorandum outlining the investment. The total amount individuals invested in this fund was over $1 million.
Judah Spinner’s termination from PFS Investments occurred after the firm discovered that he was listed as the founder of Blackbird Financial, a company he had failed to disclose as an outside business activity. The fund he recommended to clients was operated through Blackbird Financial.
Spinner will be suspended for 12 months and have to pay a fine of $10,000.
