His previous employers include PFS Investments Inc. (CRD#:10111) of Duluth, Georgia and Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. (CRD#:6694) of Alpharetta, Georgia.\u00a0 Delahunt has been in the industry since 2001.  Tyler Delahunt Discharged By Merrill Lynch For \u201cSelling Away\u201d  According to Delahunt\u2019s CRD Report, published online by FINRA, Merrill Lynch discharged Delahunt in August 2020. The allegations against Delahunt in connection with his discharge involve \u201cimproper solicitation of clients related to an outside investment and participating in financial arrangements involving clients.\u201d Solicitation of clients for an outside investment not approved by a broker\u2019s employing firm is often referred to in the securities industry as \u201cselling away\u201d.  After Delahunt\u2019s Discharge, FINRA Initiated an Investigation  FINRA began an investigation after receiving paperwork from Merrill Lynch with the reasons for his termination.\u00a0 According to FINRA\u2019s Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent with Delahunt (AWC), FINRA was investigating \u201cwhether Delahunt had solicited clients in a private securities transaction without approval of Merrill Lynch and whether he had accepted loans or other funds from clients without notice to his firm.\u201d The AWC indicates that Delahunt failed to respond to FINRA\u2019s inquiry, in violation of FINRA Rules.\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.silverlaw.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Tyler-Delahunt.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.silverlaw.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Tyler-Delahunt-180x120.jpg 180w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Tyler Delahunt (Tyler Dean Delahunt CRD#: <a href=\"https:\/\/brokercheck.finra.org\/individual\/summary\/4419594\" target=\"_blank\">4419594<\/a>) is a formerly registered broker and investment advisor whose last known employer was Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner &amp; Smith Incorporated (CRD#:7691) of Atlanta, Georgia.
