{"id":2756,"date":"2016-06-08T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-06-08T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/silverlaw.lawblogger.net\/blog\/vsr-financial-broker-mickey-long-investigation\/"},"modified":"2018-10-08T12:39:17","modified_gmt":"2018-10-08T16:39:17","slug":"vsr-financial-broker-mickey-long-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.silverlaw.com\/blog\/vsr-financial-broker-mickey-long-investigation\/","title":{"rendered":"VSR Financial Broker Mickey Long Under Investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>Silver Law Group is investigating Texas-based broker M F \u201cMickey\u201d Long II (\u201cLong\u201d) <a href=\"https:\/\/brokercheck.finra.org\/Individual\/1778299\"  target=\"_blank\">(CRD# 1778299)<\/a> of VSR Financial.\u00a0 According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finra.org\"  target=\"_blank\">Financial Industry Regulatory Authority\u2019s<\/a> (\u201cFINRA\u201d) BrokerCheck records, Long has been subject to nine customer complaints.<\/p>\n<p>One of the nine customer complaints is currently pending and alleges <a href=\"https:\/\/www.silverlaw.com\/securities-arbitration\/finra-sales-practice-violations\/unsuitable-investment-advice\/\"  target=\"_blank\">unsuitable<\/a> investment recommendations, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.silverlaw.com\/misrepresentation-omission-of-material-facts.html\"  target=\"_blank\">misrepresentations<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.silverlaw.com\/breach-of-fiduciary-duty.html\"  target=\"_blank\">breach of fiduciary duties<\/a> among others.\u00a0 The claims appear to relate to oil and gas private placements.<\/p>\n<p>Oil and gas securities were at their peak when the commodity was soaring at unprecedented levels in 2008.\u00a0 The prices rallied to a high of just over $110 per unit in 2011, but the commodity was risky.\u00a0 Another drop occurred in late 2014 and the commodity has currently been valued around $50 per barrel but going as low as the high 20s.<\/p>\n<div class=\"read_more_link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.silverlaw.com\/blog\/vsr-financial-broker-mickey-long-investigation\/\"  title=\"Continue Reading VSR Financial Broker Mickey Long Under Investigation\" class=\"more-link\">Continue reading \u203a<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Silver Law Group is investigating Texas-based broker M F \u201cMickey\u201d Long II (\u201cLong\u201d) (CRD# 1778299) of VSR Financial.\u00a0 According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority\u2019s (\u201cFINRA\u201d) BrokerCheck records, Long has been subject to nine customer complaints.
