(CRD# 6363)<\/a> broker <a href=\"https:\/\/brokercheck.finra.org\/individual\/summary\/5981598\" target=\"_blank\">John S. Elliot (CRD# 5981598)<\/a> over allegations that he sold customers an outside investment.<\/p>\n<p>According to Elliot\u2019s FINRA BrokerCheck, Ameriprise discharged Elliot in August 2016 for violating Ameriprise compliance policies relating to selling away.<\/p>\n<p>Following Elliot\u2019s Discharge from Ameriprise, two customers filed FINRA arbitration complaints against the broker in November 2016.\u00a0 Both of the complaints allege Elliot sold the customers an unapproved investment in Selden Companies, LLC and damages of almost $1 million in the aggregate.<\/p>\n<div class=\"read_more_link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.silverlaw.com\/blog\/john-s-elliot-kansas-ameriprise\/\"  title=\"Continue Reading John S.
