According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allianzlife.com\/about\/news-and-events\/news-releases\/Preventing-Elder-Financial-Abuse-press-release\"  rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">recent study<\/span><\/a> by Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, the average financial loss of elderly victims was $36,000; and this financial impact often resulted in \u201cfinancial ruin.\u201d What\u2019s more, the financial impact on active and potential caregivers equaled an average cost of $36,000 as well, given the necessity to compensate for a loved one\u2019s loss.
